Maserati Kubang – The GT Wagon concept
With the Maserati Kubang, in cooperation with Giugiaro, has launched a whole new driving concept: the GT Wagon. This is a thoroughbred GT and an authentic wagon rolled into one.
The Maserati Kubang will be a high performance car with torque control on all four driving wheels, excellent weight distribution (48/52% front and rear respectively) and a centre of gravity a good 100 mm lower than the average SUV. In other words, it will easily cope with the many demands of our modern sports and leisure activities.
In line with Trident tradition, the Maserati Kubang concept car was also named after a Javan wind. It is the fruit of the combination of a 390 bhp Maserati V8 engine and a hugely versatile body that is still as efficient and safe as any thoroughbred GT. The interior architecture is unique too: very roomy for the occupants yet with maximum modularity despite the fact that this remains a high performance car clothed in irresistibly sporty lines.
